...And Da House goes on...

Hello, everybody!!
And life goes here at my little corner of the world. I catch myself walking long the narrow sidewalks downtown and thinking how amazing life can be... Now this is my life, in this place, sometimes like detached from the world outside. It is weird to really get the notion of your life being in course, realizing the moment is of a turning point. Am I making sense? ... It's just that I still don't feel myself being really part of here. Waking up at the strange bedroom everyday where all our immediate stuff is, waiting for the house to be ready to greet us as masters, it's still like odd vacantions. Oh well... Me and my sometimes blurry mind!

Last week arrived the house floors' tiles! Here they are, I love the abstract pattern...
Below, for the restroom walls:
And even the kitchen sink arrived - along with the new oven:
Soon the house will be very different from this:
Lucas had fun getting into the water tubes' hole - hidraulic system is almost ready now - I had no idea how much hard work it requires!!!:
Rodrigo varnished the doors and they now look great:
Now he works on the windows - my poor man needs to wear this mask because the smell of varnish is too strong:
In the meantime, Lucas pampers Ringo, who's getting bigger day after day!
He sends a special "Japanese look" Hi for everyone!

Nydia I know exactly what you mean. Take good care of yourself because that feeling of unreality means you are under alot of stress...and of course you are, the changes you made were very big and sudden and would put anyone off-balance. Everytime I have moved, and it always seems to be some very different place that I'm not used to at all, I get that feeling of being detached and it's kind of like I have been sick or something when I wake up and everything looks so different, including the plants, and even the grocery stores are so different...

LOL I evidently have that "fuzzy brain" too today...

Lucas looks so cute! Bright eyes!

The house is just going to be gorgeous.

The house is looking gorgeous even if all the parts aren't in place yet. And Lucas and Ringo are too cute. Lucas looks really happy there as I am sure you will be when you get settled in your own home. Blessings, amy

Nydia,

The house looks so awesome! I can't wait to see the finished thing!

I haven't blogged about it, but my dad is going to need surgery. With the degenerative disease that he has, it's going to be quite risky. We don't know the date yet. Just seems like there is so much going on right now, I can't stop to take a breath! I'm sure it will all calm down soon, though.

Sorry for not commenting as much lately. My work blocks your blog, (and work is where I spend most time online) so I've been reading your updates through an RSS feed.
The house looks, as others have said, very awesome. It is a bit odd when in transition, but that feeling will pass and the place will be YOURS! How awesome!

You home is going to be so amazing!

I've had that feeling of detachment. I hope it goes away soon, I know it really sucks.

I am so excited for you. I love that you allowed us to follow along in this journey with you. Watching your home, the family home of your son being built from the ground up has been inspiring. I have fallen in love with you and your family and this place so far away from mine!

I know I will cry when you are finally in your home, with your alter and your affectations that will make your home all yours!

Love from Colorado!

You've been living in 'limbo' for a looooooong time now! And lots of changes and moving in a short span of time. I'm sure it does feel unreal at times!

I love seeing the progress on your house. Seeing your posts every week or so, it seems like things are moving along quickly, but I suppose if I was there dealing with the details of building day-to-day, it wouldn't seem quite so fast.

Beautiful tiles, can't wait to see them in place. And I LOVE the doors! Rodrigo did a beautiful job, they look so rich and gleaming!

Thinking of you...

I love these pictures! Everything is so beautiful and organic!! How lucky you are to have such a house to live in that was built with your own family's hands!
And oh my gosh!!! Lucas gets more and more adorable!! Those eyes!!!
