Last week I had a fun time with my mom... At least we consider it a fun time. Since my father died, she gets his retirement money, a very irrisory value... and every year, in October, she needs to go to the bank to prove she's alive, by signing a paper. Okay, this year I went with her, because we had other stuff to do downtown after that.
First I went to the informantion desk, and asked the girl, "Look, my mom needs to give a proof of life (with my mother waiting behind me). I brought her earlob, where should I take it?" The girl looked at me confused, and pointed the line where I should go to, while mom kicked my leg.
We waited a long time in line, and when it was finally her turn, we went to the cashier, and the lady took a long time to give mom her money and the paper she needed to sign. So I look at her and asked, "will it take too long? you know, this spell will soon expire, and I won't be able to keep her alive anymore". The cashier gave me an angry glance, and mom almost chocked laughing! LOL I just couldn't resist! But the lady had no sense of humour... *sigh*
