I'm sorry for the post title... But I can't find any better way to start this. Those who are Facebok users know the huge commotion that hit all of us, friends of Kris Bradley, a.k.a. Mrs. B. Yesterday a totally (I never cease to remember)coward anonymous person reported her to the FB management stating that she was posting abusive comments on her FB page! I haven't seen for a long time something so unfair and out of context! As I repeated over and over at FB, if there's a person who deals fairly and with high-quality and careful words in her statements, it's Kris. Anyone who knows her, knows this simple fact. Somehow, a stupid person decided to be envious and low enough to report a false accusation against her, and because of this, our friend cannot comment on any page again, gods know for how long!
It sounds so absurd and unreal that it makes me think of the witch hunt. Seems like we're back to the Inquisition times, and I'm afraid anytime they'll want to "virtually" throw her on the lake to see if she drowns or not.
What enrages me most is that, till today, no one from Facebook sent a single line explaining exactly which "abusive comment" was posted to justify their decision of banning her right of commenting (simply because there is none!). I'm sure they haven't checked Mrs. B.'s posts, otherwise they'd understand there's nothing not even barely close to an abusive or unpolite word at her posts.
Fortunately, she has many wonderful friends who gave her immediate support, including creating a FB page to show our love.
My suggestion to Facebook is to add a mandatory link to their security report form so that, everytime someone reports an accusation, they have to show where the user crossed the limit, if so. At least we'd know if the accuser is being true or simply being mean.

Its so easy to be an ass when anonymous- isn't it?
and if she made comments said reader didn't like- reader could hide or delete her. Or if on a message board, reader sould delete her messages (I know- mine were deleted from a message board because I didn't agree with the norm)
sometimes those who run facebook are dumb- can we write administrators and see if they will reconsider?
There's a link to Facebook policy terms page to end a formal complaint, K!
From what I understand of Facebook, a good chunk of the complaint process management is an automatic program making algorithmic decisions. They're swamped with complaints and counter-complaints of this nature, and don't have the man-power to look at it with human eyes unless it gets very much brought to their attention.
That being said, I'm going to go look for a "What The Hell" button to send a complaint to management on her behalf...
I saw this yesterday on FB.. I can't even believe it!
Do you think if enough of us say something they'll look into it.. or at least say WHAT comment was SO out of line???
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help!
I too think with fb it is an automated thing and then the issue is delt with on a personal level. I think they had to make issues of abuse mandtory because of issues of abuse regarding saftey be it for children or stalking etc.
I agree posting annomously is cowardly . I had someone do that on my fb page too .
I personally do have issue with her and found her to be judging etc. so I have the choice not to follow nor read her blog or fb page . we all have and are entitled to our opinion .
just because one does not agree with us does not make them abusive and that annonomous poster had the choice the same as the rest of us to just leave if they do not like or agree with it .
I'm sure she will be up and running soon enough fb will see her account and that it was not abusive in nature .
No apology needed for the post title, it is very appropriate and fitting!
I can't believe people do this kind of stuff. First of all, if they didn't like what her page was about then don't follow it! Secondly, if you have a problem with something somebody posted, you have the option to delete it, or better yet, why didn't that person have the nerve to contact Mrs. B directly and explain his/her thoughts. Going directly to Facebook and causing such a problem was totally unnecessary.
It just leads me to believe that someone out there is on a witch hunt. I guess the rest of us out there in FB land better be careful. I used to be very careful about what I put on my FB because of the negative light that people view pagans in. Well, I decided, I am what I am and if you don't like me, delete me as your friend.
Blessings to you dear Nydia for being such a loyal, passionate friend.
Marci
Hi Nadia, I'm a recent follower of your blog and Mrs. B too for that matter when I get a chance to actually look at everyone I follow! It amazes me too that anyone can submit a "report" of nasty content and FB immediately bans a person without even looking at said content. I've never looked at Mrs. B's facebook page as I don't mix my blogging with FB, and I don't know her at all, but I can't imagine what could have been said that was so "awful" to warrant banning posts. Big Brother really needs take a chill pill and get a life!
First, I want to commend you on being such a fierce friend. Everyone of us needs to stand up for those we care about.
Second, I am not the least surprised about anything like this that happens. Nasty people suck and the unfortunate thing is that these ugly people are everywhere.
Third, Mrs. B is a great, strong, brave, woman with a whole lot of support and hutzpah. I moarn the lose of her freedom to comment but "this too will pass". She is so much bigger than this problem. Fourth, FB sucks too.
I love this community who band together in love. Just think the asshole (_*_) that did this is out there alone.....nanny nanny boo boo and the universe will take care of the karma part...just too bad we won't have ringside seats.....or maybe we will. So mote it be.
Hi Nydia! Sory to hear of this trouble with Facebook, sometimes I'm glad I'm an old lady who can't understand Facebook and so I don't even try to look at it or use it!!! But shame on those who do their mischief from behind an anonymous screen, that is not fair to your friend and I'm sure it is making a lot of trouble in the Facebook world to allow anonymous tips like that!!!
at least if you are going to accuse have the balls to put your name down at the bottom. Hiding behind anonymous is just being a coward and proves what little character one has....
That's a great idea Nydia. I think facebook should add a mandatory link explaining the problem behind the ban as well. It's only fair.
We have been burned, pressed (with stones), hung, and drowned.. this is nothing new.. Oh, and those of us that were, were turned in anonymously.. by those who would be spiteful.. all we ever did was heal others, help their crops grow, and help their animals.. light candles for our Sister, and let the Goddess Bless this poor misguided, spiteful child for the injustice they have caused.... remember Sisters, the energy put out comes back three tiimes.. be Blessed...
