ABC Wedsnesday - U is for Underground
When I was thinking what could I bring to this week's letter, I immediately thought of Underground, by David Bowie.
This groovy song is from the fantasy movie Labyrinth, released in 1986. A story within a story, just the way I like it. I remember watching this movie just because Bowie was the bad guy, and the soundtrack was his. I so love the chamaleon, and I danced Underground many times in front of MTV. Actually, I still dance it, for my little witch's despair! ;o)

I loved that movie because it was a Jim Hennson project. Bowie did a great job, I loved that one about the baby..."the babe with the power..."
Remember this movie from my own younger days ... and now have two girls who are in love with David Bowie in this movie.
Im still particularly fond of the wee little blue haired worm
:D Still love this movie, lol. It's why I learned to contact juggle (the stuff with the 'crystal' balls).
Incidentally, for years I didn't realize that Bowie was English - as a kid, I just thought the accent was an '80s thing!
what a blast to the past! I remember when MTV started!
I loved this movie, and him!
Oh, what fun this U!
I really love Bowie, but actually NEVER saw that movie; ought to, I suppose.

Labrinth is one of my grands favorite movies...scary in parts but such a gem. XXOO The Olde Bagg
Labyrinth is one of my fav movies of all time. I had such a crush on Bowie as the goblin king (he made those tights look good). I have the soundtrack and I still love it!
When I posted this, I thought that no one would remember the movie, what a cool surprise to see so many fans! :o)
And Leila, how not to have a crush on Bowie as that hot goblin?! LOL
