ABC Wednesday - Y

Aaww... Just one more letter for this round to finish... snif... But I'll be here for the nex one! :0)

Y is for young... and this is me when I was really young!!!

I was 4 years old by then. I was s cute... See how bad we can get after growing up? LOL

I remember that at that time I got ready at home to take this photo at a studio for my kindergarten's enrollment, and my older brother was painting a chair with green paint in our backyard. When I passed by him to leave, he slightly painted my arm with it for fun, but I cried so hard, because I was feeling pretty in my white dress and didn't want anything to spoil it. The paint can be seen on my right arm as a dark stain - mom tried to rub it on our way not to be late, but some was left. That's the reason for my serious face!

You sure are cute in that pix... And thanks for the explanation of your slightly sad expression...
Horrors -- getting green paint on your pretty dress...

--You know, I spent 15 years of my life working in a very messy paint factory, and I always had a multitude of colors on ALL of my clothes -- from head to toe... One day a young lady friend asked me is I had ANY clothes without paint on them -- and of course I had to tell her no...

Ah, poor little Nydia! These things matter so much when we're little. At least the paint was on you and not on the dress.
You look very pretty and sweet.

Such a sweet photo! And I can't see any paint smudge. I have a photo of me at the beginning of Grade 1 and I look very sombre, too.

You are such a dear sweet girl then as you are now. I cannot believe how pretty your eyes are! They are so deep and beautiful! Incredible... It's as if I can see deep down into your soul... I find them so warm and kind.

Wonderful memory to hold onto...
Such a fitting post for the letter Y.

So sweet! What a sad story though. Childhood is filled with these little disappointments, isn't it? I bet we can still see that little girl in you today but hopefully with a smile on her face.
