December giveaway party

Oh, have you guys seen how awesome it is that Mrs. B.'s creativity became so inspirational that other people want to make their own seasonal giveaway party following her example and pattern, even the guidelines and words?

After her awesome - and already a classic I long for every year since 2008 - 31 Days of Halloween Take 2 giveaway party , now there's this Yule party, hosted by the Soccer Mom's Guide to Wiccan. I'm even donating one of my Wheel of the Year (don't know yet when it will be given away yet).

It's always great to see that when someone is so creative, smart, hard-worker, brain-storming and cool, she becomes a trend! :o)

Mrs. B's idea is pretty awesome! It's no surprise that someone else wants to try it out.

You are so right...

When putting together this contest, I went to at least 5 different sites to see how they set up their rules, and links to the contest pages. Mrs. B's was one of them, because I had entered her contests last year and thought she had done a great job.

The wording was extremely similar on all of the sites I visited -
One of them was agiveawayeveryday.blogspot.com. Here is their basic format:
1st Entry (Mandatory) - Visit Sophie’s Chic Boutique and tell us your favorite product!
Additional Entries: You must submit the entry form for each qualifying entry.
1 Entry – Follow Sophie’s Chic Boutique on Twitter

5 Entries – Make a purchase from Sophie’s Chic Boutique
1 Entry per day-Follow AGE on Twitter and tweet the following: @agiveawaydaily I entered to win a $35 shopping Spree from Sophies Chic Boutique http://bit.ly/6tvGhw

1 Entry – Become a fan of AGE on Facebook

3 Entries- Blog about this giveaway and leave us the link.
1 Entry each-Follow AGE by reader, email, or Google friends.

My page formatting to get to the contest pages, the contest pages themselves, and the thumbnails of the pictures I am using as clickthroughs couldn’t be less similar than her content, however, I totally agree that I overused her contest info. I didn't actually do it on purpose - that part of my posts was written about 2 months ago and I didn't revisit it, but I thank you for bringing it to my attention! I've changed the verbiage:)

Mrs. B's site and ours are very different, although we started our blogs within days of one another, and although I love and admire what she's done, the thing I want to do is be thought of as is unoriginal...

Thank you again! I'm going to get busy fixing the pages for the days to come...
