Late ABC Wednesday - X

... And the letter is X. That was the hardest letter so far!! I was breaking my head to find something starting wit it, when suddenly I remembered - it was in front of my nose, as Blue knows well about it! LOL

I remembered my two favorite series of all times!

First, X Men:

X Men, for those who loves comics, is one of the best fantastic comic stories ever, in my humble opinion. Created by Stan Lee's amazing, creative mind - and also Jack Kirby's great creativity as well -, this comics has a special place in my house&heart, thanks to the huge collection my husband kept, and I hope Lucas will love it too, cross fingers...

The story of the superheroes born mutants who fight not only against the evil but also against prejudice for their nature moves me. Wolverine... oh well, Wolverine is my perfect anti-hero, struggling with his wild nature and unknown past, and he's got a wide screen version performed by Hugh Jackman that is beyond words... For me, no one could incarnate the kinda bad guy better than this Australian actor. The three movies telling their saga stole my heart, specially the last one, extremely dark, and the perfect cast made it absolutely credible.

And there's also the series that kept me awake late nights to watch their adventures and painful experiences, X Files:

I simply love sci-fi, and this series is a revolution to me. Watching Scully and Mulder trying to solve the intriguing and sometimes bizarre paranormal cases made my nails stay short for a long time... The successive deep implications these cases started leading the two agents into a downward spiral brought many cool debates at my home.

"The truth is out there" is still my favorite motto up to now, years after the series was over!

Great! I agree about both of those. My OH has bought the complete X-Files on DVD, and we've watched them all the way through. Quite amazing!

Meri has told you... I have the whole set. I came to it late but became hooked just four years ago.
Became caught up in the X-Men when my eldest boy subscribed direct to Marvel for the comics. I am looking forward to film 3 which sits on our shelf awaiting the moment.
No arguement from me - great post.

The X-files was a series that we often watched, because one of my daughters, the one who lives in Australia, really loved it. It's a good choice for an X-word!

Two "X"cellent choices! I've been a fan of the X-men for a long time, and I love the way the films have stayed very true to the comics and the characters. Wolverine was always my favourite, also, and I agree with you completely regarding Hugh Jackman! Like Aileni, I came to the X Files late, but was introduced to it my my OH - he has the whole series on DVD, but we've never actually sat down and watched the whole thing start to finish. Maybe one day we'll have the time, when we retire!!

I thought of this too, but took another choice. I have never seen X-man but X - files I remember from the telly.
Great post!
